John Campbell has been affiliated with Savage and Associates since 1979. He specializes in total financial strategies for families and small businesses.

Experience

After graduating from The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy, John practiced pharmacy in both retail and hospital settings. In 1979, while continuing his pharmacy career, John began his second career at Savage and Associates. His dual careers have allowed him to enjoy two very diverse professions. Although he is still active in pharmacy, he concentrates the majority of his efforts toward his financial planning practice.

John has always believed strongly in continuing his education in his profession. He has obtained his CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) and is proud of earning his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation in 2007.

John has qualified many times for the Million Dollar Round Table.

His over 30 years of experience allows him to better advise his clients, both young and old, on their individual financial situations.

Education

John graduated with Honors from the College of Pharmacy at The University of Toledo in 1976. He stays active in the pharmacy community, having served as President of The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy Alumni Association, as a board member of the Toledo Academy of Pharmacy, and as a board member on the College of Pharmacy Partnership Board. John has guest lectured on personal financial planning to students in both the College of Engineering and College of Pharmacy. Since 2008, John has taught PHPR 5810 Finance and Personal Planning for Pharmacists as a professional elective in the College of Pharmacy.

Personal

Although John graduated from Springfield High School and has lived most of his life in Lucas County, he is the only member of Savage & Associates to celebrate Groundhog Day, having been born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.

John's initial adventure as a chaperone for the Toledo Sister Cities Diplomat's trip to Poland and Ukraine has led to becoming very involved with the Toledo Sister Cities Program. Besides being a board member for four years, he has traveled to our sister cities in Germany, Spain, Hungary, and China. This year he and his family will accompany the Toledo International Youth Orchestra to Korea and our sister city in Japan.
